And just like that

And just like that into her life
she let him back inside
gave into that flood of emotions
that simply couldn't be denied

The how and why now unimportant
The motives went unexplained
to go hunting for those reasons
What would then be gained?

He didn't breathe a word
and neither in fact did she
in silence they were consumed
together in beautiful agony

He gingerly proffered his hand
she in hesitation did accept
into each other’s arms they succumbed
for pent-up emotions an outlet

Will they ever part
Only time will ever tell
the separation so devastating
to be together they're compelled.

The End
