And in that smile..

With each day a new discovery
With each second I yearn for more
My fingers long to touch her skin
to be adrift on her silken shores

Men must throw themselves at her
Oh but their efforts are in vain
the fair maiden hath lost her heart
and t'is only but mine to claim

The gods to me have been kind
to have sent me an angel from heaven
like a fresh shower she softly came
over a parched life so barren

We had our happy times, the wonder years
and the wonderful children we raised
Our home such a beacon of warmth
of it people could only praise

Many consider me the luckiest man
but that dream fades after a while
She was that vision that passed me by
and I saw all of this in her smile!!

The End
