And I'll be your Miles

A sonnet.

In silence, sat upon the shore,

The two of us there, hand in hand.

Smiling onwards evermore,

The real world but a distant land.

A hint of Autumn in the air,

The moonlight dancing on the waves

And there sit we, without a care

For all the world just true love’s slaves.

I strive to make a parallel;

Of lovers who were bold and free

But filling up this empty shell,

The story that you told to me-

And you could be my one Alaska

The one I’d love, forever after

The End
