And after the years have scattered

And after the years have scattered

Like leaves across a cloud-strewn sky,

And after the photographs

Have been wrapped in tissue paper

And locked away, forgotten

Misbegotten remembrances of a time

Since past,

I will still remember you

Despite my stubborn heart.

Maybe I won't recall

The exact color of your eyes

Or the perfect tenor of your voice,

But your presence will still remain

Like an invisible imprint

Marking all of my tomorrows.

The End
