The Butterfly

These are just a few poems that i've had to write for school over the past year.

Fluttering on a peaceful summers day,

A slight wind blowing, few clouds in the sky,

A butterfly flies in the suns bright rays,

Such a short life- fly, fly- before it dies,

Bringing sweet colours and sights with each wing,

Flitter flutter, from leaf to flower,

Laying eggs on these leaves for the late spring,

Flying off into the light rain shower,

Soft, slender, thin bodies moving with grace,

Caterpillars in awe of them and then,

Eat, eat, everything, is it but a race?

Eat, and eat, over and over again,

Create cocoons- happily say goodbye,

But they will return, as a butterfly.

The End
