All They Really KnewMature

I've been told that it's not right,

I've been told that it's a sin.

I've been told not to worry,

God looks for the beauty within.

I've been told that it' a choice,

Some say wrong, others right.

I've been told I could be cured,

If only I'd see the light.

Some people awkwardly avoid me,

Others flock to be my friend.

As I've been told it doesn't matter,

It's all the same in the end.

Everyone around me has to have  their say,

Sadly, they wouldn't even know me,

If they didn't know that I was gay.

The End
