All She Wrote

Reality knocks with bony hand

Upon the door

An hourglass filled with sand

Upon his palm

Slowly running its patient course

His noble steed

The steamy breath of the pale horse

Its chasing them

In the cold night two lovers take flight

Danger, dear ones

Bullets pierce the fog-like smoke

I'm sorry my friends

That's all she wrote

The End
