All I Can Hope For/Tartarus

It's about how trying to take the blame for someone else's sins can have dire consequences

I stared distantly towards the dawn
And in that moment I knew
I knew just how far I had to fall
To live without you, haven't I suffered already?
I know there's nothing but guilt
A darkness that never belonged to me

And all this is so new to me
Will I rise like I did before
Close my eyes like I did before
These bars are all I can see

Now shut off from you and the world
Love is not worth the price
No more tears from you, dearest girl
To exist less than human, Is what it means to suffer
I know nothing remains but guilt
A darkness that's now changing me

And all this is so new to me
Will I rise like I did before
Close my eyes like I did before
These bars are all I can see

I can only hope someone will care
I can only hope my humanity is there
I can only hope someone will care
The echo of my humanity cast to the air

Hopelessly sinking towards a Tartarus realm
And the emptiness is all that I felt
Do I dare to dream, of all that I held
Watch the ice in my veins begin to melt

And all this is so new to me
Will I rise like I did before
Close my eyes like I did before
These bars are all I can see

The End
