All I Ask, Of Love

You're so good at crushing my spirit.

How and why would a person possibly be good at something like that?

You should be good at uplifting and enriching, not breaking down and burdening.

I'd like to see the love in your eyes, for once.

Hear the love in your voice, and not that fake sugar-coated "you're my honey bun bumblebee" love but real love. You love me.

I'd like to feel the love within your touch. Your hugs are empty and unemotional, hard and rough around the edges.

I'd just like to be loved by you, for once. Can you do that for me? Can you show me that you love me? Because I guarantee that would make it a lot easier for me to show you that I love you, too.

Thanks. That's all I ask.
