Alcohol is a bad deal

The verses have the right amount of syllables as a haiku but the last two lines are inverted. They reflect my discovery after two weeks of giving up alcohol. On the following pages add haikus about your experience with alcohol or other addictables.

Switching off senses
Creating cravings
Alcohol is a bad deal

Expensive poison
Dimming memory
Alcohol is a bad deal

Uninspiring
False socializing
Alcohol is a bad deal

Remedy for fear
Avoiding one’s self
Alcohol is a bad deal

Yet

Refusing to drink
Society sighs
Who standardized this bad deal?

The End
