Worth Defending

Worth Defending

Blood and ice

Toil and sweat

Hopeless cause

Causeless hope

With a thud of finality

I watch the door close

Goodbye, my dreams

You will be missed

I just want out

I just want to go home

I want to follow my dreams

To wherever they went

Only two days

And already, I'm exhausted

Who knew freedom

Was so costly

But those two days

Have taught me true strength

And those two days

They're worth defending.

The End
