Shenandoah, Virginia, USA

So rich are the leaves
Here, all roses and olive and gold.
Everything, it seems is peaceful,
No troubles to weigh down your soul
And tickle your fears.
No other time of year but October is so
Dramatic, so
Overtly contagious as this,
And you are alive in the forest,
Hot and cold and amazed all at the same time.
