Acrostic Poems - Places

Take a place you've been to, for example SHENANDOAH, VIRGINIA, then write a poem so that the first letter of each line spells the name of the place. See my first chapter for an example.

All this gold and
crimson dancing,
all this
is suddenly wild
against the autumn sky,

Mostly the sun is
auburn now,
ignited furiously in
narcotic shades of
everything that sets your soul on fire.

- Acadia, Maine, USA.
