Abyss
In a green abyss
Where blackbird’s fly
I lose myself
Under courteous eye
Lie to myself
Keep from knowing
The gentle scent
Of a young man glowing
Failing heart’s call to me
Find myself object of unkempt glee
Love at a whisper
Cheers of despair
Might at a whisp of
Summer’s haze glare
Find me another
For this is no good
Find me another
That treats me as he should
Shouting and ranting
As I waved goodbye
All that I see
In my lover’s eye.
