Absence Of Sleeping Pills

Long distance relationship...

When the sun closes her eyes,
And Earth's light goes to sleep.
The world is in it's loneliest state,
Too many lay and weep.
But for those with company,
They lie so warm in bed.
Warm from thoughts or from somebody,
Only joyful tears they shed.
But for me it's in between,
I love someone you see,
And they love me back,
But there's just one fact you need.

Miles across the land,
We lie in rooms of sand.
Slowly sinking in loneliness.
And tenderly hurting ourselves.
But one day, darling,
We'll be free.

They say absence makes the heart,
Grow fonder, every night.
And every day when I think of you,
They couldn't be more right.
The crescent moon is awake,
The church bells start to ring.
With this feeling I can reach the stars,
Carry them for you and sing.
But I'm crying don't you see?
You hurt inside for me,
With every blink of my eyes,
I slowly die inside, so does he.

Miles across the land,
We lie in rooms of sand.
Slowly sinking in loneliness.
And tenderly hurting ourselves.
But one day, darling,
We'll be free.

Someday after we fade,
We'll meet across the glade,
We'll forget our situations,
And run to temptation,
With no hesitation...we made it.

Miles across the land,
We lie in rooms of sand.
Slowly sinking in loneliness.
And tenderly hurting ourselves.
But one day, darling,
We'll be free.
Just like we wanted to be.
So free.
You and me.

The End
