Abandoned To Ruin
I was left broken, bloodied on the pavement
Pride left to ruin, somehow my soul was still alive
Flesh and blood left to disdain
My hopes left to the vultures
What remains left to the wolves
Friends long gone, the distant wail of sirens gathering volume
I don't even have the energy left to condemn
Only to weep and beg for death
No angels to save me
No friends to guide me or console
A world we never bear to acknowledge
Until it claws it's way through our soul
The steady beep and sterile walls
It's amazing how far even gods can fall
Barely enough life left in my veins
My courage ready to be devoured alive
My heart ready for the lions
Friends long ago, the distant wail of sirens gathering volume
I barely have the strength to whisper for hope
Only the strength to beg for death
No angels left to save me
No friends to guide me or console
A life we could never dream to live and keep
Until fate turns it's wheel cruelly
Until fate brings our punishment to bear
Logic departs, karma's throat slit and there's blood on the floor
Forgive me brothers but I refuse to acknowledge God
Logic whimpers goodbye, salvation long ago closed the door
Don't dare to look at me and say sorry
