Dragonfly
To live one day a dragonfly, and dance
on fairy's wings; a delightful spectacle
she is, a jewel swept by the sky.

To be so pretty a thing, so carefree
a creature; a fragment of rainbows
on shafts of gleaming sundrops.
.
Where goes the dragonfly? She is
gone from the sky; a star fallen
from her heavenly realms.
.
To live one day a dragonfly; to be so pretty a thing.
To have such a glorious day, and
fly on fairy's wings.
