Sand Through the Sieve

Just take my hand.

We’re all dying in this land.

It’s all sand through the sieve.

I bet you’ll never want to leave.

It’s all the same.

Just one big game.

We’re all pawns in the workshop

Fastening a new mop,

To clean up our mess.

But we’re not supposed to dirty our dress.

Just take a stand.

We’re all dying in this land.

It’s all sand through the sieve.

I bet you’ll never believe.

It’s all the same.

All trying to tame.

We’re all pawns in this world.

Strands and fine thread unfurled.

And now it’s my turn.

I’m ready to burn.

Just make a command.

We’re all dying in this land.

It’s all sand through the sieve.

I bet you think we’re ready to receive.

It’s all the same.

Just trying to give it a new name.

We’re all pawns in the field.

And we’ll never learn to yield.

We took a small detour,

And now there’s fewer and fewer.

The End
