A whisper in the settled leaves
A poem i wrote feeling kind of depressed :(
The trees have budded and bloomed now, and the red leaves are falling
if you listen close enough, you'll hear that death is calling
The little children run around while parents are reminiscing
if you listen close enough, you'll know a child is missing
But they dont know yet and the mother wont be effected
if you listen close enough, you'll hear them shout "neglected"
A mother cries, as her child is lost, but she isnt dire
if you listen close enough, you'll hear a whisper "liar"
They find her dead, a small child who looks like she is sleeping
if you listen close enough, her mother wont be weeping
And tomorrow the leaves will settle, and as man kind grieves
if you listen close enough, you'll hear a whisper in the leaves
