A Spark of Hope, a Touch of a Smile
A poem I wrote for my classmate when one of her close relatives passed away.
Loss is a grief of deep pain
Tears escape me and I can't explain
My life seems to be falling apart
Why does it have to be this hard?
I thought I'd never be happy again
But inside, I feel it was meant to be this way
The future I am not sure of
My heart can't seem to move on
Yet something tells me to go on
A hope I feel within
And faith I place in You
You always saw me smiling
And maybe it's time to smile again
