It took a second to see you
A minute to be introduced to you
An hour to talk with you
A day to experience you
A week to conversant with you
A month to grow a crush on you
A week to feel comfortable around you
A day to smile around you
An hour to be with you
A minute to fantasize about you
A second to care about you
A night to dream about you
And a millisecond to realize I’ll never be with you
It’s better that way
Friends is how I care about you
Every laugh in the morning was with you
Every afternoon ended with a hug with you
It took a second to see a man who I be-friended
