Sisters Left Rescue Sisters Right

The light has come; the night is gone
Weeping fills the time; the joy is gone.
The work of a thousand hands has returned to where it began
Anglesey was once where I now stand.

Only moments ago.

Our Brothers lay silently all around
Green earth becomes quickly scarlet, black ground
There is nothing left that once was ours
Not the old oak tree; not the brook; nor the dove‑white flowers

Nothing to carry on.

The light has come; the night is gone
Sisters left rescue Sisters right
In whatever blessing is given by the dawn.

The End
