Bright Queen

Written 9th July 2010. I found it in a notebook earlier today and thought I'd post it.

She runs and falls and takes his hand,
Bright queen in her summer gown,
With her golden hair and ivory skin,
And eyes of so deep a brown.

Each prince is held in her unique spell,
Unable to free himself,
Until one clear day when she was away,
This bright and glorious elf.

For although she's sweet and pretty too,
Her words you can never trust.
And when she loves it's not the truth,
She's telling the lie of lust.

The End
