On The Curb

She is hurting, on this day,
And every tear that spills
Is a sign of how her self control
Is shot to pieces by the pain
Which riddles her mind with holes
That tear at her black heart
Like a ravenous bear.
And as she looks up, you see
The crystalline tears shining
Bright in the glow from the street lights
As she sits on the curb
No haven left to flee to,
No hope to help her go on.

The End
