Dance Troupe

Ten hours a week - far too much, you would say,
For a girl still at school who played three instruments,
And yet who longed to dance and to perform,
To be paid for doing what she loved before an audience.

But ten hours a week was far too much for her,
In exam years and working hard, a writer too,
Yet still she wanted to take to the stage and dance,
And to reap the rewards of showing the world her love.

The End
