The Servant King

A servant comes, a nobody's child
With hated words and bitterness
Following his immense and great love
That came to save, and to serve.

A servant that is willing to wash
The feet of the very lowest,
Befriend the outcasts and sinners,
Touch those deemed untouchable.

A servant that moves mountains
A servant that can rule us all
A servant that heals all hurts
Makes blind men see, lame men walk .

All this from a simple servant,
A nobody's child from the backwaters.
Born humble to a frightened girl,
Born to die--to die that we can live.

The End
