We Are Not Right TogetherMature

I will only get bored
I will only hurt him
It will mean so little to me
It will hurt so many others
I will only lose another friend
A good friend.
I need time to think.
I don't think I mean anything to him.
I don't know if he means anything to me.
I don't want him to have to deal with me.
I will break my promise to her.
If I do mean something, will I not if I give it some time?
We have nothing in common.
We will never work.
I know nothing about him.
He is, but a stranger.

Yet his eyes are so wise
Like miniature spies
Seeing my lies
Longing for a lack of goodbyes

His hair, so fair
As he waits for me there
And holds my stare
I know he's going nowhere

His words, like birds
High up in the firs
Though he's with the nerds
Thoughts to him, my mind blurs.

And he, one can see
He fills me with glee
But this should not be
For he's not right for me.

The End
