A most elusive song

a poem about music played on shuffle.

Ten minutes into the I-pod shuffle challenge,

Not allowed to choose a song or repeat,

I'm at the mercy of the shuffle setting,

I wish my eardrums were made of concrete,

Why's that pop song even in there?

Why on earth did I download that?

Will I give up? I wouldn't dare,

Need some AC/DC to brighten up my day,

Will I ever get to Shot Down In Flames?

Or a visit to hell's highway?

Need some Deep Purple or other rock,

I'm quickly loosing the challenge,

But my love of music won't take a knock!

The End
