A Mile.

Recommend

I walked a mile in those shoes today

And looked out through your eyes

A stranger in your history

Your truth, Your soul, Your Lies.

I stepped into your thoughts today

Watched as you showed me how

It feels to feel the way you do

I think I hear you now

As far as I read into you

Something dodges out of sight

A part of you lost years ago

A piece that isn’t right

I may never see that secret

Or truly know what you’ve been through

But I can see the person behind your eyes

And that’s all I need to do

I thank you for this trip I took

My fee was worth the ride

One cannot know the deepest ocean

Until you dive inside.
