A little bird

A poem about a bird that was also a friend

Sitting here all by myself

I thought I heard a cry for help.

I saw outside and not quite far

A little bird beside my car.

Your wing was hurt, like my self-esteem,

I made a friend.It's like a dream.

I took you in just for a while.

I made you better. You made me smile.

The next few weeks that flew so fast

Were so much fun,I forgot the past.

Your wing improved, you tried to fly

I knew it was time, tried not to cry.

I set you free.We never fell.

When i took you under my wing.

You took me under yours as well.

The End
