"A Heaven in the Occult"

the second of three anthology published poems of mine

"A Heaven in the Occult"

Another soldier passed, another family destroyed
Two lands quaked let this world unite
Our faith tested, strangers now bonded
Marriages ended, souls resurrected
A flag flown, memories lifted
Tombstones engraved, internal wars raged
Names forgotten, lives remembered
The good taken, the bad accepted
Hate filled, love emptied
Warrior's admited, faith exited
A brother slain, a sister maimed
A lover's life will never be the same
There is no Heavenly light in an Occult black night
