A Heart World-Weary

It's an old-fashioned break up song, not being to handle that someone you love has gone

Sorrow hits harder than bullets do

Knocked back, destroyed by my wounds

I tried to come back, and you had moved on

Only now does the darkness come

Because I truly know now, that you're forever gone

Here I lie, the blue skies above

A heart world-weary and worn

My soul fades, drained of love

A heart shot to pieces and torn

I'm happy for you my love

I'm happy you've found somebody else

But I know that I will barely suffer the nights

When I couldn't even save myself

The leaves in autumn decay with me in time

And there's nothing else I could take

The winter encasing my soul in ice

My heart cracks with the urge to break

Here I lie, with the blue skies above

A heart world-weary and worn

My soul fades, drained of love

A heart shot to pieces and torn

It was never enough to be together

Hearts stop and at once we were zombies

A fragile connection at once severed

You will only see the worst of me

You will never fall in love with me

Here I lie, with the blue skies above

A heart world-weary and worn

My soul fades, drained of love

A heart shot to pieces and torn

The End
