A Glimmer of Hope in a Dying World
A poem of expression in a world so cold
Soft spoken melodies whisper my fears
heartbroken feelings dry up my tears
and when all is lost I'll swallow my pride
and say bitterly, yes I failed, but I tried
How do I open my heart to this world
when everyone in it drowns me in words
hopelessly hopeful you'll realize this dream
and sew up the edges repairing my seams
If nothing is forgotten but all is lost
I'll take a chance on this wayward, star crossed
A love so tragic it's end drawing near
please don't forget me as you leave me standing here
