Broken Faith

Howling blindly

Is the wind

As it whips up faith and care

From their places amongst

The lilac leaves,

Like agony

It doesn’t see

The other pain around,

Its selfish body growing,

Rustling up the fingers

Of trouble

As all happiness dissolves

When the time calls

And no one comes,

Surrounding constants,

Swirling ashes,

Someone else’s heart burnt

By broken rumours;

Howling blindly

As faith unravels,

Pulled apart by nothing more

Than the wind,

A broken dance,

A promise strewn

By nothing more

Than the wind.

The End
