Vertigo (As The Last Bend Nears)

Swoop!

Vertigo at the last bend.

Glare of sunlight,

Burning down;

Clang!

Of irons, trapping one.

Whir of engines,

Dreaded move,

Chug chug zoom,

Chug, chug, zoom.

Zip past sky

(Looks crimson gold

To match imagined blood

Bursting from destroyed

Eardrums),

Freeze in the rushing warmth;

Yells!

All about one,

No escape now,

As the tension increases.

Zing!

That’s pain, head-rush,

Accelerated adrenalin,

Pump, pump, bang,

Explodes

Into fear:

Tachophobia,

Never-ending,

With every roar

And every flex,

That increases.

Rise above.

Swoop!

Vertigo

As the last bend nears.

The End
