Poem 6

Where was He?

He should have come.

He should have.

He didn't.

He should have come for the people who laid down for Him.

He should have come for the people who gave for Him.

He should have come for the people who writhed in their own blood rather than forsake Him.

He should have come when hideous acts were carried out in his name.

But He didn't.

When the world screamed for Him, He did not hear.

When the dying cried for Him, He did not see.

When the wars destroyed us, He did not feel.

He made us in His image, but when the colour of the clay or the form it had taken divided us, he did not help us.

Were He goes we must follow.

The blind follow the blind.

The End
