A Far Away Hill

A Far Away Hill

There is no luck, there is no warmth,

The life is lost and the soul forgotten

But indeed there is a light on a far away hill

A light of love, just out of reach,

A tantalizing flame that burns all night

Forever sitting there on a far away hill

The light that burns bright, warm and true

Forever taunting as we slowly die

Walking forever towards the far away hill

The light shines bright and grows and grows

Blindingly bright, pure and true

A man now stands on the far away hill

He watches you struggle to carry your cross

As you fall and cry out, you are caught in his arms

He came to you from the far away hill

He raises you up and sets you on your feet

He gathers up your cross and carries it with you

You walk on together to the far away hill

The End
