A Dreamer

I wished for that kiss,

The one that would make my life lift,

It was a dream, that I deemed impossible,

I hoped it probable, but I was always a dreamer, floating on the seams of life,

I stood on the rift, my life seemed to drift,

I floated on life's ocean, a stray piece of wood,

I was never in her sight, always a shadow to her light,

I wished to be her friend, not to be left alone in the end.

The End
