An Oh So Heartless Heart.

              Then it happened.

A heart was pushed toward me,

But the heart was not mine.

It was broken, useless.

Looking for an idiot to take it in.

That idiot, I vowed, would not be me.

But of course I caved, of course I did.

I was like putty in that hearts hands.

              Then suddenly,

As quick as it came, it was gone.

I was in too deep by then.

So my own heart went along for the ride.

The End
