The pink flower

and the wriggling worm

(always pressing it

always pulling it).

Strange wetness

under the blanket--

Embarrassment.

Little Oedipuss and Electras

in the sandbox,

androgynous

in their boy/girl adventures.

Innocence conceals

a punishable curiosity--

between tag and sheet tents

it’s just another game.
