The Hot And Dusty Tarmac Road

I walk beside

The hot and dusty tarmac road

A heavy pack I do carry

Balancing on the curb

Cool shade leans over me

The sun shines brightly

Between the leaves

Shining on my smiling face

The weight of my pack

Yet my back is stright

I stand tall, whistling

The black road

Barrelin' along

Through time and space

I walk, slowly thinking

Calm, happy

Taking time to smell the roses

Walking beside

The hot and dusty tarmac road.

The End
