On a rock high above the river
We sat beneath a silver moon.
And listened to the echoes
Of the lonely warble of a loon.

That long ago autumn evening
We planned our lives together,
Our future stretched before us
As we pledged our love forever.

Now we walk along the river
Too old to climb the rock above.
Many years gone behind us,
We're still together, still in love.

The End
