The idea of red

A red dress for the pretty lady,

A seductress- alluring, shady

The colour of lust, a man that sins

Unleashes the hidden rage that lies within;

On the other side is a rose, velvety, red

A heart sated, love fed

But beauty aside, all thorns and green

It can hurt, pain but unseen

A small prick, burgundy blood wells,

Pupils dilate, fangs, a monster from hell,

A plague brought, the river run dry

Wine, water, crimson tears cried

Salty, wet, the red sea parts

A train of wreaths, broken hearts

Destruction and beginning, dusty rain falls

The storm before the calm, the red sunrise calls.

The End
