A Circlet of Haiku
Winter sun's blind eye,
Milky orb in pallid shroud,
Wanes yet sees hope spring...
Spring spider spinning
Dewdrop jewels on silken threads,
Spies dawn of summer...
Summer twinkles through
Pools where fishes leap and catch
Sunlight but then fall...
Fallen leaves smoulder,
Twisting smoke spirals skywards
Feels grasp of winter...
Winter sun's blind eye,
Milky orb in pallid shroud,
Wanes yet sees hope spring...
