A Cheater

An abstract poem about a man who cheats on a woman.

A cold dark stone,

Leaving a face,

Ridged and taut,

Crumbling like sandstone,

Breathing with hunger.

A cruel beating pulse,

Disgusted and hated,

Barren and lonely,

The man made future,

Starving for truth.

A man of masked darkness,

Deceivest and damp,

Rough and frozen,

The limp fists of woman,

Subdued in betrayal.

A whimper of nails,

Back and forth,

To and fro,

The bloody scars,

Of a woman’s eyes.

A crown for the broken,

True and forgiving,

Scared but powerful,

The woman laid bare,

With Love, Hate and Pain.

The End
