A Burning Flame

As darkness sweeps inside

And envelops everything in a dark cloud

There is fear of of what is to come

It blocks out the light

So that it is no longer visible

Only hope and faith exist

They are a small match

In a deep dark void

A meager flame

Which the darkness tries to put out

But it tries to take it away

It needs to burn, to hang on to its light

It may be the only chance of escape

It must grow

So it can consume the darkness

That is all around

Then everything can be in the light

Once again, surrounding all

Cloaking all things in the warmth

Only light can bring

The End
