FireMature

I’ve lost the fire within me

Where it has gone I haven’t a clue

All I know is I need it back to be

Who I really am, the fiery spunk

You said you see me as

Because in this mess I have flunked

And let go of that part of myself

And lost myself through this time

But of all the people it was yourself

Who rekindled my burning fire

And relit the spunk within me

Now I feel warm and alive. Aspire

Is what I want to do and so I will

For you, of course, the one

Who gave me the boost uphill

The End
