He looked at me and I looked right back without hesitation or fear.

I wanted so badly for him to see me, to really see me and to like what he saw. 

And in the end it was as simple and instantaneous as that, just that look that couldn't have lasted more than a few seconds. 

When our eyes met, I felt it.

My life would never be the same. 

I told him later that I loved the shine of his hair and then he whispered to me that he adored the curve of my mouth. 

It was a shallow attraction that started the greatest adventure of my life.
