Title: Yellow Eyes
I stare into the clearing, a silver pool of light,
Eagerly awaiting my meal for the night.
Shining yellow eyes, all there is to betray,
Are locked, intently stalking, on my prey.
I burst from the bushes into the full moon.
Bathed in light, I am noticed too soon.
The chase is short; I am met with defeat,
Still yearning, aching for something to eat.
