Title: Leap

Animal: Frog

The lily pad quivers in time with my throat,

I open my mouth to release a croak.

“Stay away predators,” my markings warn,

Then I leap upwards – briefly airborne.

All too soon gravity hauls me down,

But I know for a fact that I cannot drown.

I splash into the river polluted green,

My forest surroundings are no longer seen.

The End
